On Lack of Belief in God(s)
Christians like to delude themselves into believing that there are no Atheists - just people that KNOW God (their god mind you) exists and just hate him or reject him for some reason. Let’s get something straight. (speaking for myself here, but most likely also speaking for most atheists)
I do not believe your god or any other gods exist or have ever existed. I firmly reject the concept of gods. Any gods. I also reject belief in angels, demons, ghosts, djins, cherubs, and any other manner of supernatural beings.
There are two classes of things:
There are natural things we can explain because we have gathered and compiled enough information about them to reasonably understand them,
And there are natural things that we cannot yet explain because we have not gathered or compiled enough information about them to reasonably understand them.
“Supernatural” in essence, means the latter. Once we gain enough understanding about a thing falls into the former category.
There may very well be questions we will never gather enough information about to adequately explain them. That is no reason to ascribe those things to the actions of a being the likes of which are created by the religious to explain away unexplained and misunderstood phenomena.
I don’t reject god after accepting he exists - I don’t believe he ever existed in the first place. And for the record, one cannot hate something or be mad at something that doesn’t exist.
